My family and I highly recommend Theodora (Teddi) for her tutoring services. We initially hired Teddi a couple of years ago because our homeschool son wasn't confident he was ready for college or able to pass the GED. My son has now completed two years of college and received straight As except for one B in math, which Teddi doesn't teach. He doesn't work with Teddi on a regular basis anymore, but he reaches out to her occasionally to get input and feedback. I think this speaks more to her good work than his good grades. It shows the trust and rapport she was able to build with him. Being as satisfied with Teddi's work as we were, we decided to hire her to tutor our younger son too. He was struggling with reading and writing on a much more fundamental level. He was a bigger challenge for Teddi than our older son because he was somewhat resistant to the idea. They had a rocky start, but she was patient and persistent until she was able to win him over. When he began to see how much she was helping, he became a much better student and has come to appreciate and look forward to his time with her. He also generally seems like a much more confident young man now. If you are considering hiring a tutor for your child, I don't think you can go wrong with Teddi.
